Highway Hero receives Carnegie Medal

The Carnegie Hero Fund Commission recently awarded Michael Schiotis, a driver from Spring Hill, Tenn., the Carnegie Medal. Schiotis was the 2011 recipient of the Goodyear Highway Hero of the Year award. The Carnegie medal is given throughout the U.S. and Canada to those who risk their lives while saving or attempting to save the lives of others. Schiotis was driving on an interstate in Pennsylvania late one night when he approached what he thought was a traffic accident. Anna H.
