Whether carriers use a custom-built system or an industry standard program, predictive modeling is meant to help them lean on the past to predict the future. Relative to retention, this means using data increasingly available to carriers, such as hours of service and mileage, to identify turnover patterns and alert carriers to drivers whose data shows a termination risk.
