Moon Scholarship application opens

Students with outstanding academic records and who have ties to the truck stop industry may apply for the 2010 Bill Moon Scholarship, awarded annually, at www.natsofoundation.org, its sponsor, NATSO Foundation, announced.

Applicants must submit the following material:
• Bill Moon Scholarship application
• A 500-1,000 word essay describing a personal experience with an ethical dilemma
• A letter of recommendation describing the applicant’s character traits and achievements
• High school/ college academic transcript
• Financial information

All items must be submitted in the application for it to be reviewed by the committee, an independent group experienced in scholarship administration, a NATSO Foundation statement says.

Materials should be addressed to Heather Mooney with the Bill Moon Scholarship Committee, C/O Bill Moon Scholarship Committee. 60 Main Street, Farmington, CT 06032. Deadline for submissions is April 16, 2010.
