Work to close I-405 near Seattle

By eTrucker Staff

Nighttime drivers on Interstate 405 through Bellevue, Wash., should expect delays this week when crews will close multiple lanes, including a major closure Tuesday, July 27, when all mainline lanes of northbound I-405 between NE Fourth Street and NE 12th Street will be closed.

Drivers will be detoured to the collector distributor lane. Lane closures begin at 8 p.m. with all mainline lanes closed by 11:30 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is bringing in large cranes to lift large bridge girders onto the new N.E. 12th Street bridge. The construction is part of a project aimed at relieving up to 8 hours of congestion a day on I-405 in Bellevue.
