Five ArvinMeritor facilities earn Paccar quality award

By Successful Dealer Staff

ArvinMeritor announced that five of its manufacturing facilities have received Paccar Inc.’s 2009 Quality Achievement Award, among the industry’s most demanding standards for supplier parts and component quality.

The award recognizes suppliers with a defect rate of 50 parts per million (PPM) or better during 2009. ArvinMeritor supplies axles, braking systems, and other drivetrain components for Paccar’s Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF trucks.

The five ArvinMeritor facilities to achieve Paccar’s “50 PPM” standard are: Forest City, N.C.; Franklin, Ky.; Cienega de Flores, Mexico; Escobedo, Mexico; and Lindesberg, Sweden.

“We’re especially proud of this distinction because it was achieved by five ArvinMeritor facilities, including our joint venture SisaMex in Mexico, supplying best-in-class components across different regions of the world,” says Barry Eckel - director, OEM Sales. “It’s a testament to our world-class capabilities and ongoing commitment to meeting the highest global standards for quality, reliability and performance wherever our customers are.”
