I-95 in Rhode Island closed

By eTrucker Staff

Rhode Island's Department of Transportation reported that both directions of I-95 remain closed Thursday.

For I-95 northbound, all traffic must use Exit 11 (I-295) and follow to Rte. 37 eastbound to return to I-95. For I-95 southbound, all traffic must use Exit 14 (Rte. 37). Follow Rte. 37 westbound to I-295 southbound to return to I-95. If in Providence, use Rte. 6 westbound to I-295 southbound to return to I-95.

Elsewhere, National Guard troops were sent into Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Also, two of three bridges into Stonington, Conn., were washed out.
