Old Dominion improves service into Canada

By CCJ Staff

Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. today, Nov. 9, announced improved service through its Northwest gateway into Canada effective immediately, which will connect more than 65 Old Dominion service centers to Edmonton and Calgary, Canada.

The service will provide a single gateway into Alberta, Canada, through Old Dominion’s location in Great Falls, Mont. More than 65 Old Dominion service centers will be connected with this gateway, reducing border-crossing times and making shipping into these Canadian locations much smoother and easier, the less-than-truckload company says.

“We are pleased to offer this improved service from the western U.S. to Edmonton and Calgary, Canada,” says Chuck Powell, vice president of the Pacific Northwest region for Old Dominion, based in Thomasville, N.C. "By utilizing our Northwest gateway, we can reduce border crossing times for our customers."
