Grand Rock debuts universal muffler

Grand Rock Co. introduced a universal muffler designed for end inlet/side outlet configurations on heavy-duty trucks and school buses. The ES muffler series measures 10 inches round by 36 inches and is designed to allow for an unlimited number of outlet positions, provide excellent flow characteristics and offer good noise control.
The muffler is available in 4- and 5-inch centered-end inlet configurations, both with either OD or ID inlets, and no outlet is built into the muffler. To create the outlet, the company offers 4- and 5-inch patches, sold separately, that also come in OD and ID diameters. To fabricate the outlet, cut a hole in the body of the muffler at the desired outlet position and weld the patch in place.
The company says the ES muffler is not intended to replace diesel particulate filter or catalyst muffler applications. For more information, go to www.grandrock.com. |
