Foam Jet Injector
Water Cannon’s Foam Jet Injector shoots more than 20 feet of dense foam that sticks to surfaces, instantly conserving chemical use. The tool has a fully variable spray pattern and the ability to shoot a straight stream or be adjusted up to 50 degrees. The company says the tool is six times more effective than using wet chemicals alone.
Inverter
PowerDrive’s Power Inverters convert a vehicle’s 12-volt battery power to household AC power. They include eight models offering up to three grounded AC outlets to power and charge laptop computers, coffee makers, TVs, power tools, DVD players, digital cameras and more.
Stork pliers
Snap-on Stork pliers are designed and manufactured to withstand the toughest conditions while helping improve productivity. The pliers feature long, slim jaws to reach into recessed areas and rounded jaw edges to minimize nicks to wire. Designed for gripping strength, these pliers are suited for electrical and electronic work, holding pins or small components.
Hybrid-Electric Retrofit Program
Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation’s new retrofitting program offers a less expensive option for companies interested in implementing hybrid-electric technology. The program involves removing old powertrain equipment and replacing it with a 2007 Cummins ISB 200-hp engine and Eaton hybrid-electric system. The program also transcends multiple emission levels and brings units up to the 2007 EPA certification level with the addition of the hybrid-electric system.
Heavy-Duty Truck Locks
McGard’s Heavy Duty Truck Locks have no moving parts to corrode or jam, and each lock has a specially coded pattern milled into it that engages with the corresponding pattern on the key/adapter tool. All locks are made of high-quality alloy steel and hardened for strength and durability.
LED Stop/Turn/Tail Lights
Piranha’s 4-inch round model LED S/T/T lights offer long life and trouble-free performance at a reasonable price, the company says. The 817-3 grommet-mount and 818-3 flange-mount models are the latest additions to the lights. The precision process of integrating AMP-compatible connectors is fully automated — allowing significant time/cost savings, the company says.
Truck Lube Center
Shrader Tire & Oil of Toledo has opened a commercial oil-change business located near the Michigan line at the Alexis Road exit off I-75. The center will feature drive-thru oil change and light mechanical repair service, oil-sample analysis, fleet management reports, DOT inspections, a lounge and free Wi-Fi access.
Multi-purpose tools
Rock Hard Systems’ Personal Owner Operator System has mapping/routing, fuel tax, settlements and accounting features. The system is designed specifically for the single owner-operator.
Rock Hard Systems’ D.A.D (Driver’s Automated Dispatch) system also was recently released. This system’s features are combined into a single-screen, single-entry system that can be integrated with just about any add-on system out there, the company says. Some of the features for the D.A.D. system are the Driver’s Dashboard, Routing, Load Balancing and GPS capability. Rock Hard offers a full accounting system that is completely integrated with the D.A.D and designed specifically for transportation companies. The accounting system has payroll, general ledger, fuel details and more.
GPS System
Rand McNally’s IntelliRoute TND routes on legal roadways according to your truck’s dimensions and load and comes with a log-book function; the ability to track and store mileage information not only for trip planning purposes but for IFTA reports; a commercial-quality address book; route optimization for fuel efficiency, time and distance; and a wide zoom on the touch-screen display. The Intelliroute TND also includes some of the features of GPS-functional communications technology.
Heavy-Duty Wiper Blades
Rain-X’s Heavy Duty windshield wiper blades are designed to withstand the demanding weather conditions faced by over-the-road heavy-duty truck drivers. The blades provide visibility in the harshest of weather conditions, the company says. The Rain-X Heavy Duty wiper blades come in sizes ranging from 13 to 24 inches and will fit 96 percent of the medium- and heavy-duty truck market.
Navigation Unit
Cobra Electronics, in partnership with ProMiles Software and TruckDown Info International, has developed the 7700 PRO GPS navigation system, designed for the professional driver. ProMiles’ and TruckDown’s national database of vendor and professional driver-specific points of interest will be available in the new Cobra navigation unit. Information such as routable travel center locations, including an extensive list of travel center amenities, fueling stations, restaurants, heavy duty towing, truck repair, trailer shops, truck-friendly hotels and more, are available with the new product.
