Volvo appoints new European management

Volvo Trucks appointed Roar Isaksen as the head of its division in Europe effective Jan. 15, 2002, according to published reports.

He is currently responsible for the International division, and joined Volvo in 1995 after working in the Atlas Copco Group. He also served as president of Volvo Parts in North America.

Claes Svedberg, currently president of Volvo Truck Australia, will replace Isaksen as head of the International division. He’s worked for Volvo Trucks in the Asia/Pacific area for 11 years, four of which were in Thailand.
